Parent / Guardian - Meet Registration
Registering your swimmer (or swimmers) for a Meet Registration is easy from your Commit portal!
You'll see all upcoming meets right away on your dashboard, info about the registration, and your swimmer's status for the meet.
Note: If you don't see a meet you have been told is available, please contact your coach for help.
Here are the different status meanings, based off what you have selected:
This means the swimmer listed has been invited to the meet, but you have not yet committed (i.e. confirmed) that they are going.
This means the swimmer listed has been committed (i.e. confirmed) that they are going, but has not been registered for any events yet.
This means the swimmer listed has been committed (i.e. confirmed) that they are going and lists all events they have been registered for.
This means you have declined that the swimmer will be attending this meet.
If you have multiple swimmers, it will look like this:
In the above scenario, Susie has committed to the meet, but Jeremy has not yet been committed.
If you have multiple swimmers, but only one (or some) of your swimmers are showing - but not all - please contact your coach. This means one, or more, of your swimmers have not been invited to the meet.
Ready to register your swimmer? Let's do it!
STEP 1
Go to the MEET SIGNUPS menu:
Then, open the meet you are ready to register for by selecting the "View Meet" button
STEP 2
View the meets information and review any documents
STEP 3
You'll see a list of your athletes - use the dropdown arrow (to the right of their name) to expand their registration information.
Next, either commit to or decline the meet.
If you decline, you can change this at any point during the registration period.
When you Commit, if the registration allows you to commit to specific sessions - you will be able to toggle on or off those sessions, based on what your swimmer can or cannot attend.
NOTE: You will see all available sessions, regardless of the events your swimmer may or may not qualify for. This is solely to let your club know what you can or cannot attend. If you select a session your swimmer has no qualifying events for, those events will not be presented to register for.
However, if the setting to commit by session is off - you will simply commit to the entire meet or decline the entire meet, no need to specify sessions.
Note: Once your swimmer is placed into events and/or the registration period has ended, you cannot change your commit or decline options to the meet without contacting your coach.
Here is what it looks like with multiple swimmers:
STEP 4
Registering for events:
You can see the list of available events that the swimmer can be entered into.
You will see their times for the events listed, or NT (meaning no time).
Red highlighted times, or NTs, mean the time qualifications are not met for the event.
You can also view your swimmer's history of times for this event:
If you coach is handling registration, there is nothing else to do here.
You can return to see events they are registered for here.
However, if your club has allowed you to register your athlete for the events yourself.
You can do this by clicking the little ADD symbol to register them, or the REMOVE symbol to unregister them.
STEP 5
If needed, you can message with your coaching staff directing in the meet regarding your swimmer's registration here.
Note: These messages are only accessible under your swimmers name in the meet, these are run separately from your main club's messaging.
As you receive messages, you'll receive an email that says you have a message for your meet - and will see an icon of it on the meet when you log in.
When you go to view the meet, you will navigate to your swimmer's messaging tab to view the message, respond, and clear the notification by marking the message as read!
STEP 6
Preview the fees for the meet that you will owe.
As the invoice is finalized, sent, ready to pay, or paid - you can find the status here.
But this billing information will show up in your PAYMENTS menu too.
Note: If you have multiple swimmers, once the invoice is generated - the price reflected is the TOTAL for all your swimmers combined (not individually)
EXAMPLE: If you have two swimmers that paid $50 each, you will see the amount listed for both as $100 (this is stating both athletes were billed together on one invoice for $100)
