Website - Navigation
The Navigation menu of the website editor will allow you to easily control, add, and re-order the items that show in the header navigation bar.
To add a new navigation item, click the "ADD NAVIGATION ITEM" button.
This will open a menu to make selection about what you are looking to add to the navigation bar.
You can choose the Type:
A Direct Page Link will show up as an option to load a single page on the header:
Here you can select a page or create a new one
The Display Name will then be the same in both fields in this case
or if you create a new page, you will quickly give it a name (and can customize the URL if you wish)
Click CREATE PAGE when done with this option.
You can then select the page from the dropdown list for the Navigation Item and then later edit the content under the PAGES menu.
Once your are done with the Navigation Item creation - click ADD NAVIGATION ITEM
A Dropdown Menu will let you create an option that opens a menu to select other pages:
You can give the dropdown menu a name
You can then choose to add items like pages or external links.
The options to add pages and links are as if you were creating a Direct Page or External Link (above and below)
Then click ADD NAVIGATION ITEM when done.
An External Link will allow you to create a button that can navigate the site visitor to an outside source, but will be viewed like a regular page on the header.
Just add the link into the URL field and give the display name:
You'll be able to see if the navigation item is a dropdown (and which pages are included in it), if it is a page, or if it is a link (with the preview of the url)
You can add pages to a dropdown menu fast by click the ADD PAGE button on the menu list:
And you can also edit an existing item by clicking the pencil/edit icon, re-order the list for waht shows up on the navigation bar (the higher on the list, the further left it is on the top navigation header), or delete the item (this will not delete the pages - just the navigation item for the header)
Use the search bar to quickly locate pages or menus:
You can quickly view your live site by clicking your URL on the top left, add a new page to your site by clicking NEW PAGE, or preview your site locally by clicking PREVIEW.
