Step by step
Create the coupon
- Open Payments → Coupons and click New Coupon.
- Name it, pick Percent or Fixed, and set the amount.
- Check Use customer-facing coupon codes and set the code families will type (“SUMMER26”). Codes are unique per team. Without a code, the coupon is a staff-only tool you apply by hand.
Let families redeem it
- In the program’s fees step, find Coupons: check Allow coupon codes and select which coupons this program accepts.
- At checkout, families enter the code and Apply. The discount hits the program’s registration fee only, never additional fees.
- On a monthly or installment plan, the coupon rides the whole plan, so a percent coupon discounts every payment.
Apply one yourself
- On a registrant’s row menu: Apply coupon puts a coupon on their live billing plan (and Remove coupon takes it off).
- On an upcoming draft invoice: Add coupon discounts just that invoice.
Coupon management is a web task. Use team.commitswimming.com in a browser.
Common questions
Can a coupon expire or have limited uses? Not right now. A coupon stays valid until you delete it, and there’s no redemption cap, so retire codes you no longer want honored.
Do we have sibling discounts? There’s no automatic “second swimmer 10% off” rule. The working pattern is a coupon (a code you share with multi-swimmer families, or one you apply to their plan yourself).
Does the coupon apply to add-on fees? No. Codes discount the registration fee only. Adjust additional fees on the enrollment directly if needed.
A family forgot their code. Apply the coupon to their enrollment from the registrant row, or add it to their next invoice. No need to re-register.
Why don’t I see the coupon on a manual-review registration? Programs using Manual Billing Review hold the code instead of discounting checkout. It’s prefilled for you on Start billing plan, and you can clear it there if you don’t want to honor it.
