Step by step
- Open Meet Signups, find the meet and click View Meet, then the Spectator tab. On the meet’s Overview tab, a Live card with a Spectator view button appears on meet days.
- By event shows the event number, distance and stroke, gender and age group, the session and the swimmer count. Each row lists the swimmer, their age, the entry time, and Heat · Lane once assigned. Rows run fastest to slowest, with no-time entries last. If your club hides a detail, such as entry times, it isn’t shown.
- Use the arrows or the left and right keys to move between events. Click the event name to open a searchable picker.
- By swimmer lists one swimmer at a time, alphabetical by last name, starting with your own. Each row is one event with its number, group and session.
- The Updated time and the refresh icon sit top right. The view reloads when you come back to the tab; refresh any time.
- Tap the meet in your Events tab, then Spectator.
- Swipe left or right to change event, or tap the event name and type part of it (“100 fly”, “girls 11”) to jump straight there.
- Tap By swimmer to see your swimmer’s whole day. The view opens on the first of your swimmers.
For coaches
The same view sits on the meet’s Entry Report tab behind the Report / Spectator toggle, on the web and in the app. It shows whatever is entered right now, so it doubles as a quick check of the lineup before you export the entry file.
A bar above the lineup says Visible to families or Hidden from families. Click Settings to turn Show to parents and swimmers on or off, and to pick which details show under Entry info, Athlete info and Parent info. Entry time, heat and lane, and age are on to start. Photos and contact details are off until you turn them on. Families who hid their contact info in the member directory stay hidden. See manage entries for these settings and for seeding heats and lanes.
Common questions
I don’t see heats and lanes. The coach has not assigned them in Commit, or your club hides them in the Spectator view. Many meets seed on the host’s side instead, so check the heat sheet posted at the pool.
Is it live during the meet? It shows the lineup as entered in Commit when you opened it, and refreshes when you return to the tab or tap refresh. Coaches can still make last-minute changes on deck.
My swimmer isn’t listed. They are not entered in that event. Ask your coach; entries close with the meet’s deadline.
What does the X after a time mean? An exhibition entry: the swimmer swims but does not score.
There’s no Spectator tab. Either the meet is informational only, with no entries, so there is no lineup to show, or your coach turned the Spectator view off for this meet. The meet day Live card is hidden too.
Why don’t I see entry times or ages? Your club picks which details the Spectator view shows. Ask your coach if you need something that isn’t there.
Can I see other teams’ swimmers? No. The view is your team’s lineup only.
