Step by step
- Open Training → Planning and create a New Season Plan: name, date range, the training group, its subgroups, and the energy systems (zones) you plan in.
- Add a plan per training group with + Add Plan (each season holds up to ten). Each group gets its own tab through the same season, so Gold’s taper doesn’t dictate Bronze’s.
- Shape the season in Manage Mesocycles: each phase gets a focus, notes, and a length in weeks, and the plan won’t save until the weeks add up to the season.
- Then work the weekly grid: your meets sit on the timeline, and each week’s column stacks energy-system volume bars you drag up and down. Click a week for its dialog: the focus, a test set, and a slider per zone.
- While writing practices, open the calendar icon in the workout editor (Season Planning). It docks the plan beside your workout: this week’s focus and test set, planned-versus-actual volume per subgroup, and the next meets. Write the day the plan asked for.
- Generate Report exports the plan as a PDF or a spreadsheet with a column per week for your staff or board. When next season starts, Duplicate the season and shift the dates.
Season planning is a web tool. In the Commit Swimming - Workout app you can see the workouts your plan produces, but building the plan happens at team.commitswimming.com.
Common questions
Do season plans write my workouts? No. The plan is the map; you still write each practice. It sits beside the workout editor so the day you’re writing lines up with the phase you planned.
Can each coach manage their own group’s plan? Yes, plans are per training group inside the shared season.
Where do seasons in reports come from? Report seasons are set under Settings → Advanced → Team Season Settings. They’re separate from season plans.
