What you’re being charged for
Your club runs its billing through Commit, so every charge you see comes from your club, not from Commit Swimming. An invoice can include:
- Program fees: registration or membership fees for a program your swimmer is enrolled in. Monthly programs invoice each billing cycle; installment and pay-upfront programs follow the schedule your club set.
- Meet fees: entry fees after your swimmer is entered in a meet.
- One-off charges: things like apparel, equipment, or a fundraiser.
- Volunteer obligation fees: if your club charges for unmet volunteer credits.
If your swimmer joins partway through a billing cycle, the first invoice may be prorated, a partial amount covering the rest of the cycle.
How invoices get paid
Depending on how your club set things up, each invoice is either:
- Charged automatically to your default payment method on the due date, or
- Emailed to you to pay manually: open the invoice and pay it by the due date.
You can tell which is which on the invoice itself. If an automatic charge fails, you’ll get an email and the invoice stays open so you can pay it directly.
Step by step
-
Log in at team.commitswimming.com. Anything due shows on your dashboard’s Open Invoices card; click it, or open Payments in the left menu.
-
Anything due now appears under Invoices at the top. Click an invoice to open it. It lists every line item, the due date, and how it will be paid.
-
To pay an open invoice, open it and click Pay Invoice. Paid invoices move into your invoice history, where you can switch the date view between Created, Finalized, Paid, and Voided.
-
Active Enrollments shows each swimmer’s program billing: the schedule and the next charge, like “Monthly • Sep 1st for $150.00” (installment plans show “Payment 2 of 10” and the last payment date). The enrollment’s menu has View Invoice, a preview of the upcoming invoice: every line item, any applied credit, and whether it will be charged automatically or emailed.
-
Rolled up Invoice Items (or Pending Items) are charges your club has queued for your next invoice. They haven’t been charged. Customer Credit is credit your club has applied; it’s used automatically against future invoices.
-
Open the Commit app and tap More → Payments.
-
Your billing account shows the same payment methods, enrollments, and invoices as the web app.
-
Tap an invoice to view its line items or pay it.
Common questions
Why was I charged a partial amount? Your swimmer was enrolled partway through a billing cycle, so the first invoice was prorated.
Why did I get two invoices? Program fees and meet fees are billed separately, and each enrolled program bills on its own schedule.
I think a charge is wrong. Your club controls its own billing, pricing, and refunds. Contact your team’s admin directly and they can adjust, void, or refund the invoice.
I need a receipt for my records or an FSA. Open the invoice and click View Invoice. That opens the official invoice page, where you can print or download the PDF. Paid invoices stay in your history forever.
How do we cancel an enrollment (we’re leaving, or taking a season off)? Contact your team; canceling and pausing billing is done on their side. Once they do, the enrollment shows “Cancels [date]” or “Paused until [date]” so you can confirm it took.
What does “Applied balance” mean on my invoice? Credit your club put on your account. It reduces the amount due automatically until it’s used up.
