When you create a meet, you now choose who is invited: Manual, Entire Roster or Invite by Rules. Each meet also has a type: Entries On, Informational Only or Hidden.

Why it matters

  • Entire Roster and Invite by Rules keep the list up to date as your roster changes. A swimmer who joins later is invited on their own, as long as they match your rules.
  • Rules cover age, gender, USA Swimming registration, billing status, training and registration groups, and qualifying time. Ages are measured on the meet’s age-up date.
  • Informational Only shares a meet with invited families without taking entries, and you can still ask for a headcount. Hidden keeps a meet staff only, out of family meet lists, the calendar, the website and the app.

Good to know

  • Automation never removes a swimmer who has committed or been entered. It flags them instead, so you decide.
  • Automation stops when registration closes, so late joiners never land on a closed meet.
  • Change the mode or rules later on the meet’s Invites tab, on the web or in the Commit app.
