Invite parents and athletes to Commit

Coaches · People Send account invites so families can log in, and fix the ones that never connect.

How family accounts work

A family logs in with their own email and password. The invite email links their address to the right swimmers, so when they sign up they land in your team’s parent portal: meets, invoices, calendar and all. Until someone in the family accepts an invite, their swimmer shows Not invited yet or No email on the roster.

Families who register through your registration program create their account during checkout, no invite needed. Invites are for everyone else: imported rosters, hand-added swimmers, second parents.

Step by step

Invite in bulk

  1. Open People → Roster and select the swimmers whose families need access (sort or filter by Status to find the un-connected ones).
  2. Click More actions → Invite. You’ll see the confirmation (“Invite sent via email to all athletes”) and each contact with an email on file receives their link.

Invite one person

  1. Open the swimmer and go to Profile.
  2. On the parent or athlete contact card, click Send invitation to Commit. Use Resend invitation to Commit if the first one got buried. If the button says Add email to send invite, add their address first.

When an invite “didn’t arrive”

  1. Check the address on the swimmer’s Profile cards for typos.
  2. Have them search spam/promotions for “Commit Swimming”.
  3. Resend from the same place. The newest link is the one that counts.

Common questions

A parent created an account but sees no swimmers. They signed up with a different email than the one you invited. Either add that email to the swimmer’s contacts and resend, or have them log in with the invited address — see Log in and fix sign-in problems.

Can both parents have accounts? Yes. Each contact with an email gets their own login. Add the second parent on the swimmer’s Profile page with Add Parent.

Do athletes get their own logins? Yes, if they have an email on file. Athletes see a swimmer version of the app, without family billing until they’re 18.
