Step by step
Find an old workout
- Open Training → Workouts.
- Click the search icon and type anything you remember: a set, a tag, a title.
- Or use the filter chips. Date jumps to a day or range, Creator shows one coach’s workouts, and Groups narrows to a training group.
Keep the list tidy
- The list groups itself by day (Today, Upcoming, Yesterday), so the current stuff is always on top.
- Switch View to Folders to file workouts by theme (“Championship taper”, “Sprint Fridays”). A workout’s Manage folders action adds or removes it; folders are your own, not shared with other coaches.
- Archive workouts you don’t want in the way. They leave the main list but stay searchable under View archives, and you can bring them back any time.
Reuse and share a workout
- Duplicate on a workout’s menu copies it to a new date and group, with checkboxes for the notes and its folders. Attendance starts fresh on the copy. If the new group’s stroke and intensity words differ, the parse can shift; Copy settings on the group fixes that.
- Print offers two formats: a detailed split with per-subgroup timing and volume, or the workout exactly as written. Send to emails the PDF to your staff.
- Share makes a public link (and one-click posts to SwimSwam and social) for the workout you’re proud of.
- Show to swimmers unlocks a future workout so athletes can see it in their app; Hide from swimmers locks it again. Your default for new workouts is under your personal preferences.
The Commit Swimming - Workout app has the same list and search, so you can pull up any old workout from the pool deck.
Common questions
I can’t find a workout I know I wrote. Check View archives, and clear the filter chips. A Groups filter set to “Mine” hides other coaches’ groups.
Do tags matter? Yes. Tags like #Sprint or #Distance make search and your training reports much more useful. A little tagging discipline pays off at season’s end.
