Favorite sets, intensities and sharing

Last updated 2026-08-28
Coaches · Training Save your go-to sets, tune each group's intensity levels to your energy systems, and open workouts up to your swimmers and staff.

Favorite sets

Save the sets you reach for every week (your standard warmup, your test set) and drop them into new workouts instead of retyping. Favorites keep their structure, so the yardage and data come along.

The flow: click the heart icon in the workout editor to open Favorite Sets. Add set saves a new one (type it, or paste from the workout). To use one, tick it and click Add to Workout; it lands at the end of the workout, ready to drag or cut into place. The search box plus distance and time filters find “that 2000-yard, 30-minute main set” fast.

Favorites belong to the training group, so every coach on the group shares one library. There’s no folder system; the filters are how you navigate a big collection.

Intensities that mean something

Every training group has its own intensity list under Training → Groups → the group → Intensities. Rename the numbered levels to the energy-system language you coach with (EN1/EN2/EN3, aerobic, threshold, VO2, sprint). Two payoffs:

  • Writing with those words is what colors your intensity breakdowns.
  • Your season plan’s zones and your daily workouts speak the same language. Pull the season plan up next to the workout you’re writing and match the day to the phase.

The editor lives at Training → Groups → the group → Intensities: each level has a Name, an Abbreviation, and an intensity value from 0 to 12 that orders the charts. Strokes, Types, Courses, and Equipment sit on the neighboring tabs and work the same way; all of them are the parser’s vocabulary for that group.

Set it up once on your main group, then use Copy settings from the group’s menu to stamp it onto your other groups. Mind the direction (it copies from the group whose menu you opened to the one you pick) and know that it replaces the destination’s strokes, types, intensities, courses, and equipment. Athletes, subgroups, and workouts are never touched.

Share with swimmers and staff

  • Swimmers: add an athlete’s email on their profile and invite them. They log in and see their workouts and training history. Great for college-bound seniors and remote training weeks.
  • Staff: add your assistant coaches so they can write for their own groups. On team accounts, manage this under staff and permissions; on Workouts plans, add coaches to the training groups they run.

Common questions

Do intensity names have to match across groups? They don’t have to, but matched names make team-wide reports readable. Copy settings gets you there in a click.

Can swimmers edit workouts? No. Athletes get a read-only view of their training.

Where do favorites live? In the workout editor, ready to insert. Build the habit of saving anything you’ve typed twice.
