A setup checklist for every new swimmer

Adding a swimmer by hand now opens a setup checklist. It covers parents, family account, billing, training group, parent login and a welcome email. Swimmers still missing steps show a Needs setup tag on the roster.

Why it matters

  • A new swimmer no longer lands on the roster with nothing attached. Link the parents, start billing and pick a group in one place.
  • One welcome email tells the family what’s coming and doubles as their login invite.
  • What they’ll get previews the meets, practices, bulletin boards and volunteer jobs the family will see once they log in.
  • Nothing is blocked. Skip whatever doesn’t apply and come back to the rest later.

Good to know

  • Until every step is done or skipped, the swimmer’s page shows a “Setup: N of M done” card. You’ll see it in the Commit app too.
  • New registrants get a Set up button on the program’s Registrants tab, which opens the same checklist.
  • Swimmers who were on your roster before setup tracking started never show Needs setup.
