Roster Settings
- Visible Roster Fields: the chips control which columns your roster shows by default (Full Name, Comp. Category, Age, Customer Status, Commit Status, USA Registered, groups, and any custom fields).
- Custom Fields: click Add field, name it, and pick a type (text, checkboxes with multiple answers, and more). A “T-shirt Size” field with size options is the classic. Custom fields show on swimmer profiles, can be roster columns, can be collected during registration, and work as message filters.
Address Field Labels
Teams outside the US can relabel the address form: set State Field Label to “Province” and Zip Field Label to “Postal Code” and the labels change across registration, profiles, and roster exports. Leave blank for the US defaults.
Meet Settings
Add custom fields to your meets to collect extra information when families sign up, meet by meet.
Team Season Settings
Seasons here power your performance reports: define each season’s month range (Season 1: Apr–Aug, Season 2: Sep–Mar, for example) and add more with Add Season. These are reporting seasons, separate from season plans in Training.
Team Classifications
Tell Commit what kind of team you are and how you group swimmers:
- Team Type: High School, College/University, Club (age group, masters, summer), or Other.
- Classification Style: School, Age Group, Masters, or Other.
- Team classes / age groups: define the brackets (10 & under, 11-12, and so on) that records and reports group by.
Common questions
Where do parent-facing controls live? Same tab, different sections: see Control what parents see.
Do custom fields show to families? Fields can be collected at registration and shown on profiles; staff-only fields can be locked so only staff edit them.
We changed our age groups. Do records update? Records boards recompute when their age ranges change; see record boards.
